Art at Artfull Christmas Exhibition

Hello to all friends and followers, thank you for your support at our October Exhibition which was very successful and has encouraged us all greatly. The Christmas Exhibition at Artfull is now running and Zofia Jackson, Pam Edrop, Maureen McIlwraith, Geraldine Smith and myself are all pleased to be exhibiting in this show.  The Christmas show is a compilation of work from all artists who have exhibited throughout 2010 a good variety of styles and influences.  Artfull Expression sell a wonderful selection of Designer/Maker Jewellery which is available in the shop. Artfull is a good choice for that special and unique present for Christmas, Paintings, Jewellery and other small art objects.

Below are two of my new paintings. The one is of 24-Carat Bistro which is a couple of doors away from Artfull Expression tucked away up a little alley, and is quaint and cosy cafe providing tasty food and snacks.

Artist in Residence Night Friday 1st October 2010

Artfull Expression is a delightful gallery in the Jewellery Quarter which showcases a unique selection of designer-maker jewellery and small artefacts. This year they have opened up a small gallery at the rear of the building for paintings and other art exhibitions.

I have had a lazy year as regards updating my website or blogs, although I have continued with my art.

This exhibition will give me a chance to show some of my newer paintings and ceramics.  I have also invited some friends to showcase their paintings.

Hope to have support from friends and anyone interested in my art, so please come and join us for the preview on Friday 1 October,  there will be drinks and nibbles.

Summer Holiday

The Brissons seen from Cape Cornwall

The Brissons seen from Cape Cornwall

Just come back from a holiday in Cornwall with my husband, daughter and friends. Weather wasn’t brill but that gave us ladies plenty of time to explore all the crafts and art in the area, starting at St Ives and travelling along the coast road to St Just and Penzance where there is an excess of art galleries, potteries and craft galleries.

The wonderful light and rugged coastline is inspiring, have managed a bit of sketching and taken loads of photos for reference.

Art Cards

Coloured inks 105 x210mm

Thought you might like to look at some ‘Art Cards’ I
have made recently. They started out as an abstract painting of part of a rusty barrow in my garden, decided it didn’t work as a picture but liked ‘bits’ of it.  All painted in coloured ink with gold ink highlights. If you think they look a bit scuwiff (I dont thinks thats how its spelt but oh well!) the cards are straight but the photographers hand was a bit wobbly. Would like to have your feedback.  These are just a couple of examples.

Family and Friends

Well I have eventually braved it and sent out e:mails to family and friends, will anyone bother to have a look a my site? hope so – leave a message on the blog if you do byee!

My history

I’ve been attempting to write a little about myself, but it all looks a bit amature. May have to change this. If any work interest you please ask for more information on materials, size, price etc.
